How and where to buy a piano in Tallinn?

Consultations and assistance with buying a piano in Tallinn (payment by agreement).
A very important tip — do not make a purchase without consulting a specialist.
Partial or minor repairs, dust cleaning, and keyboard washing are free (within reasonable limits).

Want to buy a piano? Which piano should you choose? The real price of a piano.

People often ask me which piano to buy — usually for a child by September 1st.
My advice is simple: do not rush into buying an expensive instrument. Here’s why:
Start by buying a cheap Soviet piano (€0–100). If your child suddenly changes their mind and quits music school, it won’t be a pity.

(Pianos like Rīga from the 1960s, Krasny Oktyabr, Smolensk, Lirika, Ukraina, etc.)
Do not pay attention to the listed prices, because sellers often have no idea about the real market situation.

Sometimes people give away pianos completely free, even in very good condition — the reason is usually moving or renovation. Whoever responds first to such an ad gets lucky.

If you prefer to buy a more expensive instrument — that is, a piano from a Western manufacturer (€200–1000) — these instruments usually hold tuning better and longer, have fewer mechanical issues, and generally offer higher sound quality (though much depends on your or your child’s taste).

Again, every instrument is different, and a lot depends on its history, how intensely it was played, how often a tuner visited, and of course where it was kept — in an apartment or a private house.
